BLRC Annual Kids Chirstmas Party!

A message from Krystal Steele, Minis Coordinator:

Hello Everybody,

We have had plenty of new little families happen this year and I just want to make sure everyone knows of our annual Christmas party. This year’s Christmas party will be held on December 12th at the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club. As in years past, we would like to do a potluck. So please bring some food, snacks or a desert for everyone to munch on. At 10.30 the kids will do some crafts, coloring and games. At 11 am there will be a guest appearance from Santa!!! We do ask that you bring a gift with your child’s name labeled clearly on it. Then at 12pm we’ll sing Christmas carols. Everyone is welcome to come, so if you have any cousins, nieces, nephews, friends with kids invite then or if you just want to come by and hang out in the Christmas spirit please do.

Mini Jamboree This Sunday, YES!

Hello mini parents,

I hope everybody is excited for the first Jamboree of the season!

The plan is to meet at 9.30 on the South East corner of the Meraloma club house. Please have the kids wear their Burnaby kit as to make it easy for the coaching to identify them. If they don't have kit yet have them wear blue and white for the time being. The coaches will be wearing their blue and white as well so you can easily recognize them too. It is also part of BC rugby safety regulations for all children under 19 have to wear a mouth guard. Regularly the youth size mouth guards don't fit the smaller kids, we suggest trimming them. If you need a mouth guard we can supply a youth one for $5.

At 9.30am the kids will warm up and practice a little bit before the games. Then at 10am the kids then will be split up into different age groups and divided into teams. Each team play about 3 games (depending on how many kids come from other clubs come to the jamboree there may be more or possibly less games). Each games run between 15-20min. Games will end around 12pm.

Also, the Lomas will have a concession stand available for snacks.

P.S We won't have practice on the 10th of October due to Thanksgiving. I'll be sending out a calendar within the next day or two with all the practice and jamboree date.

Dues for Mini Rugby has been set at $60.00 for the season.

Mini Rugby - Season End Wrap-Up - Apr. 25

The year-end mini rugby party is on this Sunday April 25th starting at 10am at Burnaby Lake including games for the players out on the field with all the coaches, with the potluck & awards to follow upstairs in the Mohawk Room (next to the bar). Parents please bring an appetizer, munchies, fruit, veggies, or goodies for the potluck. Thank you.

Mini Rugby - April 4th Easter No Practice

This is a simple reminder that we will NOT be having our regular practice this Sunday, as it's Easter. We will be back at practice next Sunday, April 11th.

We only have three weeks left in our season, let's keep up our momentum and end on a high note.

Mini Rugby - Sunday, March 21st

This Sunday looks like it's going to be a decent day outside. We will be practicing as usual from 10-11:30am.
